Meet Dr. Scott Bowersox: Dentist in Frederick, MD
Dr. Scott Bowersox joins our practice after spending 3 years in private practice serving communities in Hanover and Greencastle Pennsylvania. A lifelong resident of Maryland, he graduated from Winters Mill High School in Westminster, and received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bridgewater College, in Bridgewater Virginia. Doctor Bowersox went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry, in Indianapolis Indiana.
While in dental school doctor Bowersox graduated in the top half of his class and spent time in oral surgery and periodontics clinics where he was mentored by attending faculty and residents in atraumatic tooth extraction and dental implants. Doctor Bowersox’s interests in the dental field include: digital dentistry, public health and dental education, dental implants, and, cosmetic dentistry. Doctor Bowersox is committed to lifelong learning and has completed close to 100 hours of continuing education in dental implant placement and restoration. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Maryland State Dental Association.
A top priority for Doctor Bowersox is patient comfort and care and feels honored to be trusted with their oral health. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaitlin, and their dachshund, Otto. During the summer you can find him at the beach, spending time by the water or anywhere outdoors. He is excited to join the team at Columbia Family Dental and serve the Howard County community.
