Dr. Scott Bowersox believes that great dentistry starts with genuine care for each patient. He feels honored that patients trust him with their oral health and makes their comfort his top priority at every visit.
A lifelong resident of Maryland, Dr. Bowersox grew up in Westminster and graduated from Winters Mill High School. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bridgewater College in Virginia. From there, he pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis.
Advanced Training and Clinical Excellence
While in dental school, Dr. Bowersox graduated in the top half of his class. He dedicated significant time to oral surgery and periodontics clinics, where attending faculty and residents mentored him in atraumatic tooth extraction and dental implants. This early focus on surgical excellence laid the foundation for his skill in restorative dentistry.
Before joining our Frederick practice, Dr. Bowersox spent three years in private practice serving communities in Hanover and Greencastle, Pennsylvania. He brought that experience back to his home state to serve patients in Frederick and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Bowersox is committed to lifelong learning. He has completed nearly 100 hours of continuing education, specifically in dental implant placement and restoration. His professional interests include:

He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association.

Outside the Office
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Bowersox enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaitlin, and their dachshund, Otto. You’ll often find him at the beach, near the water, or enjoying any outdoor activity during the summer months.
